Academic Title Holders

The School of Medicine has a long and proud history of producing the highest quality doctors. Absolutely fundamental to this is the role of the Academic Title Holder.

Academic Title Holders are primarily, but not exclusively, doctors working in Queensland Health facilities, in private hospitals and in general practice.  They are highly valued members of the School community, playing key roles in learning, discovery, and engagement.  The awarding of an academic title is just one way the University, and the School, can formally acknowledge all of their hard work and dedication.

Applications can be made via our online application system and once approved, appointments are offered for a period of three years.  As a UQ Academic Title Holder, appointees will be recognised as an official member of the UQ Community and as such will be offered a range of benefits and opportunities.

UQ welcomes applications for Academic Titles from health professionals who contribute significantly to its teaching and/or research activities.
