Welcome to the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Evidence Based Information Resource

The University of Queensland's (UQ) Centre of National Research on Disability and Rehabilitation Medicine (CONROD - based in the UQ Herston School of Medicine) has developed the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) evidence based information resource. This resource aims to provide evidence based information to the general public and health care professionals about PTSD and its management. For information on specific treatments please see the PTSD Treatments section.

The PTSD evidence based information resource is designed to enhance rehabilitation outcomes for people with PTSD through the provision of high quality information. The site provides summaries of current evidence for and against specific PTSD treatments compiled by the The Centre for Allied Health Evidence (CAHE) and will be continually updated by UQ research staff to enable best practice outcomes.

The information contained in this resource is designed to support, not to replace the relationship between patient and physician.
