The Centre for Integrative Clinical and Molecular Medicine was established in 2008 -2009 as an integrated clinical and research unit focusing on conventional and complementary / alternative medicine supported by The University of Queensland School of Medicine, the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, the Centre for Clinical Research, Princess Alexandra Hospital, the Queensland Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry and Queensland Health.

The Centre for Integrative Clinical and Molecular Medicine is focused on:

  • Undertaking scientific research to evaluate the scientific foundation of complementary medicine, and is particularly renowned for its studies in integrating evidence-based complementary therapies into clinical care to help people achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being.
  • Undertaking scientific research to evaluate snake venom proteins as potential therapeutic products by virtue of establishing an IP position on both composition and method of use. The ultimate aim is to establish therapeutic agents to address unmet needs to improve general health.

    • Functional Foods (e.g.  Probiotics)
