Get involved! Be the next UNMDG Project Convenor, or get on the UNMDG Subcommittee

Work with academic, clinical and technical experts, as well as with a broad range of students in UQ Medicine and beyond, to make a real difference for the health and lives of people around the world.

There are various opportunities to get involved in the UNMDG Project. Those particularly interested should consult the documents linked below.

1. UNMDG Project Convenor 2009

• Appointed, by application (applicant MUST be in MBBS 1 or MBBS 2 in the year of application)
• APPLICATIONS DUE: 5 pm, Friday 17th October
  (see 3. Useful Documents for Interested Applicants for application guidelines and format)
• UNMDG Project Convenor Role:
  Coordinate, maintain and develop the UQ-UNMDG Project:
            - Liaise with School of Medicine and UQMS Executive via the Core UNMDG Project Team
            - Work with other UNMDG Partners and Contributors - students, staff and external groups
            - Maintain UNMDG website contents
            - Consider Curriculum delivery of Global Health throughout MBBS 1, 2, 3 and 4
            - Coordinate the UNMDG Pre-Elective Collaborative Workshop for MBBS 1
            - Collaborate with the international UNMDG Project team through Universitas 21
            - Promote further avenues of UNMDG Project development
            - Delegate accordingly (i.e. to Subcommittee and other individuals/groups as appropriate)

2. UNMDG Project Subcommittee 2009

• Chaired by 2009 UNMDG Project Convenor
• Other 4 members elected at 2009 February UQMS Convenor Elections (1 elected member per MBBS Year level)
• Officially dissolves at 2010 February UQMS Convenor Elections (but expect Subcommittee tasks to be completed by end of 2009 academic year)
• UNMDG Project Subcommittee Role:
  Work with the UQ-UNMDG Project Convenor to support the delivery and ongoing development of the UNMDG Project:
            - Actively take on some of of the core responsibilities (coordinated by the UNMDG Project Convenor, as outlined above)
            - Communicate information between the UNMDG Project Team and your respective MBBS Year level
            - Support the UNMDG Project Convenor and other UNMDG Subcommittee members
            - Bring new ideas to the UQ-UNMDG Project!
